Financial Aid

Auburn Career Center offers several types of financial aid to eligible students, including:

Federal Pell grants

Federal Stafford loans

Veterans Administration benefits (G.I. Bill, Post 911, and others)

Union Education Trust benefits (state employees)

AmeriCorp benefits

Job and Family Services grants

Scholarships

Funding from Job and Family Services varies for each county of residence.  Scholarships are offered for specific programs.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

To apply for financial aid, you must complete a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online.  The application can be found at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/  Follow the instructions on the FAFSA website.  When you have completed the application, be sure to contact the Financial Aid Coordinator Carrie Erjave at 440-358-8042 or cerjavec@auburncc.org

NOTE:  Financial aid applications must be made every year.  They do not automatically roll over from one year to the next.  If you are in a class that continues through July 1 of any year (the turn-over point for Federal financial aid), be sure to complete a FAFSA for both award years.  Contact Carrie for details.


GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT

Final regulations published in the Federal Register on October 29, 2010 require institutions to report certain information about students who enroll in Title IV eligible educational programs leading to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE programs).  The programs listed below are considered Gainful Employment programs at Auburn Career Center, and therefore are subject to disclosure of gainful employment information. Click on the program to view a printable version of the Gainful Employment information.
