HIGH SCHOOL TRAINING PROGRAMS

THE CAREER CLUSTER CONCEPT

The Career Cluster concept relates all education to career interest. Graduates may continue their career cluster education at a college or technical school or opt to enter the workforce immediately following high school. Either way, students are preparing for their career of choice. At Auburn Career Center, the curriculum is organized into career clusters.

THE COLLEGE TECH PREP CONCEPT

College Tech Prep is an educational pathway that combines hands-on technical lab experience with academically competitive, college prep classes leading directly to a college degree. It is a two-to-six-year planned sequence of study that develops proficiency in math, science, communication and technology. College Tech Prep takes the best features of college prep classes and technical education and combines them into one exciting program! The prerequisites for tech prep programs include successful completion of Algebra I, junior status and a 2.0 cumulative GPA. Articulation agreements with participating technical schools and colleges provide Auburn Career Center students with the opportunity to receive college credits for work completed in high school.
