Jack Flanigan, an Auburn Technology Engineering and Design student, is part of his family business, Flanigan Bilt Putters. Their putters are recognized for their classic looks, incredible feel and outstanding performance. 

The Flanigan Bilt Loyal 66 blade putter was chosen as one of Golf Digest's top 50 blade putters and featured in their 2022 Hot List. It was chosen based on performance, innovation, look sound and feel and demand. Golf Digest is widely known as a preeminent golf equipment rating guide. 

Jack's father asked him to make a 3D model of the putter for samples to show and give to potential customers. Jack designed the 3d putter in SOLIDWORKS, a 3d design program, in his Technology Engineering and Design class at Auburn Career Center.

"It was a learning experience finding new tools and better ways to model projects. It felt good spending time with my dad discussing the putter and how we were going to model this,” said Jack. 

Jack credits his instructor  for her support to encourage him. "Mrs. Ciszewski really helped pushed me. She was very supportive. I feel privileged, not many students have these opportunities. Auburn Career Center provided me the opportunities to take a sketch into a physical product. Now that I see it made the Golf Digest Hot List, and how big this got, it is really awesome to be a part of it.
