Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am sending this message to you so you can plan accordingly for our Auburn End of Year Completion Ceremony. As you well know, COVID-19 has impacted many aspects of school and it continues to play it's part with our Completion Ceremony. Lakeland Community College, where we were originally scheduled to hold our ceremony as in year's past, is not holding any large events due to COVID-19. We have had to make alternative plans while abiding by state mandates designed to keep everyone safe and healthy. We also wanted to work with the Lake County General Health District and design a plan that they felt kept everyone safe as well.
We will be holding multiple, smaller, more intimate ceremonies at Auburn Career Center in our Presentation Center on Tuesday, May 25 and Wednesday, May 26. These days were originally scheduled for our rehearsal date and actual ceremony at Lakeland. We also wanted to make sure we kept to our schedule and did not interfere with any Associate School end of year events. We know a lot is going for our second year completers as many are graduating as well and we did not want to create any additional conflicts due to Auburn changing dates and times of our ceremonies. All ceremonies will be held at Auburn during the normal school day for our second year students.
Due to the state mandates, we will have limited seating and will only be able to allow two guests at our ceremonies. We will provide tickets for the ceremonies and there will be more information provided at a later date on that process. Tickets will be provided to students once all school fees are paid. You can pay student fees through the
