Adult Paramedic Student Helps Deliver a Baby

It's a boy!
Andrew Bjornholm, an
Auburn Career Center Adult Public Safety
Paramedic student, has quite the story to tell. During a ride along, he along with three firefighters from
Painesville City Fire Department
responded to a call for a pregnant female at home with close contractions.
During transport, the crew delivered a healthy baby boy in the back of the moving ambulance. This is not the norm, patients typically make it to the hospital in time.
On the morning of Jan. 25th, Andrew, Captain John Niehus, Firefighter Drew Lemmerbrock, and Firefighter Jim Solymosi were presented with stork pins and certificates from Auburn Career Center.
Congratulations!!
