6/22/2010: Dave Richards, Auburn's Horticulture Instructor, is featured in JP Horizons' People Solutions Newsletter. When asked what he has learned from his students through the years, Dave Richards responded, "They just keep me young, no matter how bad my body hurts; just being around them motivates me to go get 'em." He adds, "My advice to anyone is to love what you do, have fun with the people you work with, and above all else make a difference!"
6/22/2010: Microsoft Corporation, the Ohio Board of Regents and Auburn Career Center have partnered in an initiative called Elevate America to enhance the technical job skills of citizens in Northeast Ohio. The goal of Elevate America is to make available online training access and certification vouchers at no cost.
6/6/2010: Kristina Vliek, career adviser at Auburn Career Center in Concord Township, makes visits to businesses while students complete internships. "We go there to see how the students are doing," she said. "We cannot have a student on an internship who isn't applying the skills they have learned at Auburn. "An internship should continue their education," she added. "This is more about education, not whether they are paid or unpaid."

All credits earned at Auburn Career Center count at the student’s associate school. Many programs offer, along with the elective credits, credits in math, English, and science. All Auburn students have the option to take online English and online math even if it is not recommended as part of their program. Click on the Program title to view a brochure.
