The school of nursing at Auburn Career Center was established in 2007. Successful completion of this 1,200 clock hour program affords the individual the opportunity to take the licensure examination (NCLEX-PN) for practical nursing. LEARN MORE

This comprehensive program is designed to teach the fundamentals of the welding process. Including welding safety, plasma cutting, oxy/fuel cutting, carbon arc gauging, SMAW (stick) process, GMAW (MIG) process, GTAW (TIG) process, brazing, fabrication, measuring tools, blue print reading with welding symbol recognition, proper use of shop equipment and hand tools. Certified Production Technician

The program will prepare you to be a productive team member in a manufacturing environment.  Instruction includes manufacturing processes and production, maintenance, safety and quality control.  The program will prepare you to take the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council certification exams. Basic Excel

This course teaches the basic functions and features of Excel 2010. After an introduction to spreadsheet terminology and Excel's window components, students will learn how to use the Help system and navigate worksheets and workbooks. Then they will enter and edit text, values, formulas, and pictures, and they will save workbooks in various formats. Students will also move and copy data, learn about absolute and relative references, and work with ranges, rows, and columns. This course also covers simple functions, basic formatting techniques, and printing. Finally, students will create and modify charts, and learn how to manage large workbooks.
Public Safety Academy - NEW

This program covers EMT, Anatomy & Physiology, EKG and Firefighter 1 & 2.  It prepares you to take the Ohio Department of Emergency Medical Services certification(s) and National Registry as well as preparation into the Paramedic program.  The course starts off with Emergency Medical Technician on Tuesdays and Thursdays in conjunction with Anatomy & Physiology and EKG on Friday's ending with Firefighter 1 & 2 program.  Additional fees may apply. Certifications: EMT, EKG and Firefighter 1 & 2

This course is a combination of Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology which will enable students to build an understanding of the relationships of the structures and functions of the human body, as well as the terminology of how it relates.  Objectives to include but not limited to support and movement; control and coordination; continuity of life; root words, and medical terminology and patient care.
