Wednesday, November 16 is our Sophomore Visit Day at Auburn Career Center. This is a day Sophomores from our Associate School Districts can visit Auburn programs and begin the application process for the 2023-24 school year. As we will not hold regular classes on this day, your student is to not come to Auburn that day unless they are assisting their instructor with Sophomore Visits and have special approval to be here.
Students have an assignment they are to complete for this day and it is attached to this email. The assignment revolves around a career/college/military shadowing or visitation or something their instructor has approved for them. Completing this assignment also counts as your student's attendance for the day. There are special college visits set up with both Lakeland (bus provided by Auburn) and Kent State Geauga (need own transportation). That information is also attached. If your student plans on driving someplace they must complete a permission form
Remember your student is not to come to Auburn this day unless they have approval from their instructor and have had the permission forms completed. There will not be transportation to or from Associate Schools to Auburn for this day. This has all been explained to your student so they can answer any questions as well. If your student is going to drive to any of these events they must have a driver's permission form completed. That form is also attached.
If you have questions feel free to contact your student's Auburn Program Instructor or the High School office for details.
