H.B. 197 NOTICE OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING

Auburn Vocational School District Board of Education – June 2, 2020, 6:30 p.m.

In accordance with H.B. 197, R.C. 121.22, R.C. 3313.16, and applicable laws; the Treasurer of the Auburn Vocational School District Board of Education (“Board”) hereby serves written notice that a regular meeting of the Board is called for June 2, 2020, 6:30 p.m., at the Auburn Career Center Technology Learning Center, which is located at 8221 Auburn Road Concord Township, Ohio 44077. This regular meeting is both an “Essential Business and Operation” and “Essential Governmental Function” of the Board. During the period of the emergency declared by Executive Order 2020-01D, the Board shall (1) live-stream the meeting via Zoom ( https://zoom.us/j/95064536169), (2) suspend public participation, (3) strictly enforce social distancing guidelines, and (4) limit face-to-face attendance to only ten (10) individuals at one time, which shall include, but are not limited to, the Superintendent, Treasurer, and Board Members as they are necessary for the “Essential Business and Operation” and “Essential Governmental Function” of the Board. The Board may recess into executive sessions pursuant to R.C. 121.22. The Board will also take formal action in open session.  A copy of the proposed agenda can be found on the district website (www.auburncc.org) under Board Minutes.

Auburn Career Center students are preparing for careers while in high school, and are always interested in learning what is happening in their chosen field right here in Northeast Ohio.

There are many ways to become a partner with Auburn Career Center including:
  • Career Field Experience - student visits your organization for a limited amount of time
  • Classroom Speaker - organization representative speaks to a class
  • Company Tours - class or fewer students visit organization to take a tour
  • Advisory Committee Member - annual meetings to offer input into programs
  • Internship/Mentorship - provide work experience for students
