The Auburn Career Center Board of Education announced the resignation of Superintendent Dr. Brian Bontempo effective July 31, 2025. Bontempo will be stepping down to enjoy retirement.“My experience as the Superintendent of the Auburn Career Center has been a highlight in my career. I have worked with outstanding board members, amazing teachers and staff, and an administrative team that is thoughtful, smart, and courageous. But most of all, my interactions with bright, young students have truly been the most rewarding,” said Bontempo.

Auburn Career Center has been named one of 35 schools that will receive grants totaling almost $200 million through the Ohio Career Technical Construction Program.
Dylan began learning Braille at age three and quickly became interested in using assistive technology. He even appeared on The Steve Harvey Show five years ago, showcasing how he was the youngest individual using the OrCam MyEye 2 for greater independence at home and school. During the past summer, Dylan participated in an Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) Summer Youth Work Experience at Magnifiers & More.
