Lighting the Way Raises $75K+

Our students designed and built lighthouses that raised over $75,000 for United Way of Lake County and Lake Health Foundation!

Last school year our architecture project management and construction students designed and constructed 4-foot tall illuminated lighthouses for the “Lighting the Way” project spearheaded by Morris Beverage III.

Each individual lighthouse had 240 pieces to the intricate design. After the lighthouses were built, they were decorated by local artisans and students making each one unique and one-of-a-kind.

They were auctioned off on Aug. 10 and surpassed expections by bringing in over $75,000. The proceeds benefit Lake Health Foundation and United Way of Lake County. Auburn Career Center is proud to have been a partner in this project which enriches our community.
